It was a very good week. The sun shone three days this week and everyone\u2019s spirits were lifted. We also got some snow, and now it really feels like winter has begun.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oli tosi hyv\u00e4 viikko. Aurinko paistoi kolme p\u00e4iv\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4ll\u00e4 viikolla ja kaikkien mieliala nousi. Saimme my\u00f6s hieman lunta ja nyt alkaa todella tuntua silt\u00e4, ett\u00e4 talvi on alkanut.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The week started with our Home Economics teacher, Minna\u2019s, 50th birthday party. There was lots of people here to help us celebrate. There was a program that included speeches from some of her friends and co-workers. The co-workers also sang a song they made for her. The big part of the program was all the opisto choirs got to sing some songs that they\u2019d been working on. And afterward, the guests went to have coffee lunch while the opistolainens went to have pizza in their dorms. In the evening, radio services were held in the gym. On Sunday evening, the Lellits left on a ski trip for two nights. Also Sunday evening was the start of the weeks trial run of going to dorms at nine o\u2019clock instead of ten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Viikko alkoi meid\u00e4n kotsan opettajamme Minnan 50-v. syntt\u00e4rijuhlilla. Juhlia j\u00e4rjestettiin monen ihmisen voimin. Juhlan ohjelmassa oli puheita Minnan yst\u00e4vilt\u00e4 ja ty\u00f6kavereilta. Ty\u00f6kaverit lauloivat my\u00f6s laulun, jonka he olivat sanoittaneet Minnalle. Iso osa ohjelmaa oli, kun kaikki opiston kuorot lauloivat laulujaan, joita olivat harjoitelleet. My\u00f6hemmin vieraat meniv\u00e4t kahvittelemaan, kun taas opistolaiset meniv\u00e4t pitsalle soluihinsa. Illalla pidettiin radioseurat salissa. Lellit l\u00e4htiv\u00e4t kahden y\u00f6n hiihtoretkelle sunnuntai-iltana. Sunnuntai-iltana alkoi my\u00f6s viikon testi, jolloin piti menn\u00e4 omiin soluihin iltaisin yhdeks\u00e4lt\u00e4 kymmenen sijaan.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday evening, the music committ<\/span>ee organized a musical evening snack. It was very well organized and everyone had good things to say about it. Monday and Wednesday evenings it was so nice to be in the main building right before bedtime because there was lots of people singing in the aula and it was a peaceful end to yet another wonderful day at opisto.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday was Runeberg\u2019s day. There was Runeberg\u2019s torts served for afternoon snack. We also had a discussion evening on wednesday and the topic was cliques. Everyone had good comments about that and it was a good discussion. Thursday was Viihtyvyys committee program evening. They had a nice singing evening planned and we think that it was a good end to the week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Keskiviikkona oli Runebergin p\u00e4iv\u00e4. V\u00e4lipalaksi oli Runebergin torttuja. Meill\u00e4 oli my\u00f6s keskusteluilta keskiviikkona ja aiheena oli porukoituminen. Kaikilla oli hyvi\u00e4 kommentteja ja aiheesta syntyi hyv\u00e4\u00e4 keskustelua. Torstaina oli viihtyvyyslautakunnan ohjelmailta. He olivat suunnitelleet mukavan lauluillan ja mielest\u00e4mme se oli hyv\u00e4 lopetus viikolle.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0It was an honor to be Is\u00e4nt\u00e4 and Em\u00e4nt\u00e4 and the best part was the dorm rounds in the evening. It was so nice to be able to ask everyone how their day was, and talk to people you might not have had a chance to talk to during the day. Special thanks to everyone for speaking English when we came to your dorms. The whole week went well, and we hope everyone has a good weekend at home. See you next week!<\/span><\/p>\n
